In the weeks to come, dental implant manufacturer Straumann will continue to provide dental professionals with free online education opportunities to enhance their implantology skills and learn about exciting concepts. Speakers from the US, Poland and Brazil will present webinars on digital site-specific implant planning, on the Real Arch Sobczak Concept with Straumann Pro Arch, and on new digital trends and technologies which influence the way full-arch treatments are performed today.

In his upcoming webinar, Dr Ryan Lewis, who runs a private practice focusing on prosthodontics in Longmont in Colorado in the US, will teach dental professionals how to plan site-specific implants with the help of digital dentistry. According to Lewis, “Innovative digital technology has given us the ability to diagnose and plan the treatment of our patients more accurately and more efficiently. This allows us to create a functional, aesthetic restoration in a more predictable, efficient manner.” Therefore, site-specific implants may improve the treatment outcome and function of the restoration. In addition, the webinar will explain how team efficiency can be increased utilising digital technology.

The webinar, titled “Contemporary implant planning: From intraoral scan to 3D printed surgical guide. Utilizing digital technology to create efficiency and improved outcomes”, will be broadcast live on Thursday, 18 June, at 1 a.m. CEST.

Dr Barbara Sobzcak presents her own implantology treatment method

Dr Barbara Sobczak is an independent lecturer in the field of dental implantology, the author of the Real Arch Sobczak Concept and the owner of the Dr Sobczak’s Clinics in Warsaw in Poland. Her technique is a unique fully digital treatment protocol that, from the healing phase with the temporary prosthesis, is designed to achieve optimal white aesthetics of the superstructure, proper tissue support and a correct occlusal plane. In her lecture, she will demonstrate this treatment protocol for immediate full-arch restoration using selected cases using Straumann Pro Arch. Dental professionals will learn about digital wax-up and planning, navigated surgery for predictable prosthodontics, and occlusion in full-arch treatments.

Sobczak’s webinar, titled “Fully digital protocol for immediate full-arch rehabilitation—Sobczak Concept with Straumann Pro Arch”, will be broadcast live on Tuesday, 23 June, at 5:30 p.m. CEST.

Decision-making in full-arch treatment

Edentulous patients and patients with a failing dentition pose a challenge in the daily practice, as their rehabilitation must restore masticatory and phonetic function, as well as aesthetic aspects. In a webinar, Dr Leandro Soeiro Nunes will present treatment options for these challenging situations, review the scientific background of the different approaches and discuss clinical cases. Nunes, who is an oral and maxillofacial surgeon and implantologist at Nunes Odontologia clinic in Porto Alegre in Brazil, will furthermore lecture about new digital trends and technologies with regard to full-arch treatments today.

Dental professionals can watch the webinar, titled “Science and new technologies for the full arch treatment”, live on Wednesday, 1 July, at 9 p.m. CEST.

Attendance of all webinars is free of charge after easy registration online on the Straumann Campus. Participants will be able to ask questions via a chat window and have the opportunity to earn a continuing education credit for each webinar by completing a multiple-choice questionnaire on the topic.
